I am very glad the place has taken off well, but the landlady Angela should really choose her Bar staff well! I noticed there is one girl working there who has just appeared in the paper for reckless driving, I know that she has lost trade for her. Plus this pub is well known for local meets for "gary boys" please beware there its a accident waiting to happen!!
Lets just say a new landlady is in order.

I'm a regular drinker in the Brewery Tap, mainly because I'm a real Ale drinker, and they always do Splendid ales on tap. Food is always really good aswell, nice selection on menu and good chefs. Good place to drink in summer - two beer gardens, and log fire for the winter time. Also, get yourself down to the quiz night on a Thursday night, always a good crack. Thoroughly recommended.

I like the Brewery Tap, great location and lots of history. However, the interior is very tired and essentially hasn't changed since the building was converted to a pub in the early 90's (before anyone shouts me down, I know there's a few new cushions on the seats - that's real investment!)
Sadly the quality of the beers when I've visited has been pretty consistently appalling, for example last time I visited, I had three different beers all of which were of a very poor standard. The pipes need cleaning more frequently, all too often I'm served up with eggy smelling beer. Of course if you drink from bottles, you're not going to have this problem.
The BT lost it's atmosphere when the Irish landlord John stole £20k or something and done a runner! Does anyone know if they ever found him?
