More interested in selling food than supplying beer. Comfort has gone out of the bar since the recent decoration. Cheaper beer prices in the town.
Having said that, the landlord has gone to a lot of trouble to cater for smokers with a nice patio, heaters, etc. And carries a good range of beer and especially wines and cocktails.
Closes, unusually, at 2:30pm so check first if dining. But has TV for big sporting events, when the pub tends to stay open a bit
longer.... !

Corner Dales Hall Lane/Dales Road
The food, whilst not being particularly cheap, is very good value for money. Pretty extensive menu, outside of normal pub grub. Ideal place for a family get-together in Ipswich, where Mum can fill her face with her favourite food; the kids can run around outside (within reason), and grandad can have a smoke on the patio.
