Visited lunch time today, ordered two meals for £8. Were not advised that food oreders were taking 45mins until after this amount of time had passed, then told by the landlord it would be only 2 more mins. After another ten mins two plates of food arrived to our table, unfortunatly it was not what we orderd. Decided to ask for our money back. Which we got with no appology for the very poor service we had recived. All staff appeared to have a "i don't care" attitude.

The Golf.
Well, considering its position, its a fairly dissapointing affair. The closest pub in one direction is probably the heathlands, and in the other the bell. So its got the whole of broke hall and a large portion of foxhall road, and also bixley, to aim for. Should be better and could be a great pub considering the position.

told an hour wait just for a portion of garlic bread! Place was almost empty! Never any good. Slack service.

The Person below did appear to be under the age of 21, which is the new system 'Challenge 21' which most public houses run now. I was there on the day in question and agree with the managements handling of the customer. The customer appeared to be some what stressed about the issue, however, if they don't carry proof of age and are only 21 why argue if you're being asked. In my experience of working in other outlets most if not all customers question for ID carry and expect to be asked. I suggest in future carrying proof of age may be a wise idea.

i think this pub has very poor standards. the service is very appalling. the tables are very dirty and the waiter and waitress are very rude. one of the customs was very offended by the way he was approached by the waiter concerning a pint of beer which he was drinking. he was told he wasnt 18 just by his appearence, not asking for any idenefication.when his was actually 21. when we got are food it was very poor.
the portions were very small and the food was also cold. i wouldnt advice any one to go to this pub.

Having just visited the Golf Hotel, i found it very pleasent. it's under new management and the locals are very pleased with the changes. The staff are very pleasent and the place was quite busy, more than usual said some of the locals.
I would deffenitly come again. It has something for everyone, families as well.
Good luck to the New Management
