The Oriental Resuaurant is one of the worst places i have visited (09-07-08), we were the only people actully in the restaurant when we arrived, another couple later arrived but that was it, service was terrible, and the food was appalling, the worst chinesse take away i have ever had tasted better than what we were served, this is NO way to run a restaurant business and if they are still open by the end of this year i'd be very surprised. 0/10

I really want this place to succeed. The site on which it's built used to house a really tacky, nasty "night club" type place so I was excited to see it rejuvinated. And it's a nice restaurant. The food was ok, the service adequate (though slow, which was surprising considering there were only 3 tables full when I was there!), but the location is just too far out of town and it's not good enough to make an effort to travel to. I'm afraid Trongs still holds the all-round Chinese restaurant crown for Ipswich.

The location, setting and food was good but was not happy with the service. It took ages before we got our main course, and part of it didn't arrive at the same time leaving the rest of the food to get cold. We didn't get offered a sweets menu and one particular waitress was not really helpful. The service definitely needs improving.
