Me and my friend Ella have been goin to trongs for a few years!!! The food is fantastic and delicious!! the waiters and waitresses are really polite and friendly!!! How i no this resturant and i how ive passed it on is because my auntie works there as she is a Trong member and her Mum And Dad started this resturant!!! I would seriously recommend this chinese resterant and takeaway to anyone!!! Keep up the hard work Trongs team!!!!!!!!!!

Ignore the drivel posted by R in this thread of reviews - there are three sides to all such stories (his side, their side, and the truth nestling snuggly somewhere betwixt the two) and we'll never know the full details. What I DO know is that I've been going to Trongs regularly since its opening week, including all of their fabulous Chinese New Year celebrations and have never - not once - ever - had anything other than a truly spectacular night out, whether as a quiet night for my wife and I, entertaining family and friends or company events. Far and away the best Chinese (I hate to break it to "R", but it in indeed Chinese...) restaurant in Ipswich.

Seems that R has been posting on every review site for Trongs the exact same thing and certainley looks like the customer from hell!!!
I travel to Ipswich very frequently on Business and have been to Trongs several times and it always is the same when i go there... fantastic food, fantastic service there are too many restaurants these days that try to rush you and your meals where Trongs is very laid back i have went in at 8pm and not gout out of there till after 11pm it is that relaxed.
The downside is it is highly recommended you book before going as you may not get in.

This resturant is fabulous! Always best to book as very busy. Attentive staff willing to amend dishes to your preference. I can find no fault and visit here whenever a 'treat' is called for. Can't recommend it enough. Best 'chinese' in Suffolk
