A fine Tudor mansion built between 1548 and 1550 with later additions. A good collection of furniture, panelling, ceramics, clocks and paintings from the 16th-19th century. Suffolk Artists' gallery with a lively temporary exhibition programme in the Wolsey Art Gallery.

Look back over days gone by and reminisce about your favourite memories at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich whilst handling objects from our Memory Box collection.
Skipping ropes, marbles, dolls and Subbuteo… using items from our Memory Box collection as a prompt, we discuss childhood games, the horror of school dinners and our favourite toys. Did you “Listen With Mother”, read “The Eagle” or play football in the street with your friends? Come along and share your stories.
This event is suitable for people with a visual impairment.
Sessions at 3pm to 4.30pm, with tea and coffee served throughout.
£2.50 per session (£2 for Friends of the Museum)
